National pro-life leaders expressed further horror on Wednesday as the Center for Medical Progress released its seventh undercover investigative video in which a former StemExpress procurement technician discusses how she was asked to cut through the face of nearly fully developed aborted baby boy with his heart still able to beat in order to harvest his brain.
“Today we learned of another life cut short by Planned Parenthood, a fully formed baby still intact with a heart still beating as technicians carve his little face in order to harvest a brain,” said Live Action president Lila Rose in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “It is difficult to even speak of such horror, and yet our nation allows and even funds these atrocities against our weakest children.”
Rose, whose organization has conducted its own exposés of Planned Parenthood, continued:
This little one is among the hundreds of thousands of lives extinguished every year by Planned Parenthood, a corporation that taxpayers are forced to fund with over a half billion dollars a year while the abortion giant harvests, traffics and profits from the illegal sale of baby organs. It is time for people of decency to fully embrace the humanity and dignity of these innocents and demand an end to these barbaric acts of violence and cruelty. It is time to protect women and children by defunding and shutting down the abusive and criminal enterprise that is Planned Parenthood.
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, the nation’s largest pro-life youth organization, observes that Planned Parenthood’s ethics also came under scrutiny during the murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell.
“Planned Parenthood knew what was going on behind the closed doors of the ‘House of Horrors’ at Kermit Gosnell’s clinic in Philadelphia yet they never reported him – because they were doing the same thing in their facilities,” she said in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “Gosnell’s abortion facility was closed down and he sits in prison today for the murder of babies born after failed abortions, which is exactly where Planned Parenthood needs to be.”
“There is no reason, ever, for babies to be cut up, dismembered, and torn apart, which is precisely what Planned Parenthood is doing to preborn children,” Hawkins added. “And in some cases, just like in Kermit Gosnell’s clinic, they are killed after being born alive.”
As Breitbart News reported, renowned biomedical scientist Dr. Theresa Deisher said Planned Parenthood’s practice of harvesting the organs of aborted babies for potential sale to biomedical companies – while some are likely still alive following abortion – is even “beyond Kermit Gosnell.”
“It’s probably beyond that, and I would say beyond that because it’s so calculated for financial reward,” she said.
Deisher spoke to Planned Parenthood’s defense of the organ-harvesting practices exposed in the videos as necessary for important medical research.
“People can say it as often as they want, and, unfortunately, when a lie is repeated over and over, people start to think it’s true,” she said. “And there is no example I can think of where embryonic or fetal tissue was necessary for any medical discovery that has been made. In the area of neonatal surgery, I would imagine there would be other sources for that material as well.”
