Tuesday on CNN, network correspondents Don Lemon and Van Jones got into a heated exchange about the riots Monday night in Ferguson after the grand jury announcement that Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will not face charges for fatally shooting Michael Brown.
Don Lemon said, “In my estimation there’s been too much political correctness, trying to appease protesters. I don’t mean appease the people out there peacefully. There was nothing peaceful about last night.”
That led to a reply from Jones: “I can’t let this stand. This is an insult to the people out there last night. It was an insult to the people of Ferguson, who have done more than 100 trainings for nonviolence.”
The argument between the two continued for several minutes until co host Chris Cuomo stepped in and urge the two to agree to disagree.
