Tuesday on “Access Hollywood Live,” comedian Joan Rivers likened former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) to “retarded person.”
Rivers said, “Sarah Palin, I think she’s not my all time favorite. You know how you have a car sign that says be careful handicap person. I think when they have a retarded person driving a car it should be a picture of Sarah Palin with a line through it.”
Host Billy Bush took on Rivers for the use of the word “retard” in her characterization: “You can’t say the word, Joan.”
Rivers went into a bit mocking her infamous CNN appearance last month when she stormed off the set after being questioned for wearing fur. The comedian pulled off her microphone and pretended to storm off the set.
Bush ended the segment calling Rivers “a national treasure.”
