ISIS Leader to America in February: 'Soon We Will Be in Direct Confrontation'

On February 5, 2014 in testimony before Congress on resurgence of al Qaeda in Iraq, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran Brett McGurk read a statement from the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi: “Our last message is to the Americans. Soon we will be in direct confrontation, and the sons of Islam have prepared for such a day, So watch, for we are with you, watching.”
