Russia, UK Agree to Nuclear Reactors Deal

Russian state nuclear company Rosatom, Rolls-Royce and Finnish utility Fortum agreed on Thursday to consider building nuclear power plants in Britain.

The agreement was signed after talks between Rosatom chief Sergei Kiriyenko and British Business and Energy Minister Michael Fallon in Moscow.

The statement did not release any financial details.

Kiriyenko and Fallon also signed an agreement for Russia and Britain to cooperate in the nuclear energy sphere.

Rolls-Royce and Rosatom have worked closely together since 2011.
