NBC News correspondent Pete Williams identified the man accused of shooting multiple TSA agents at Los Angeles International airport Friday as 23-year-old Paul Ciancia. Based on literature found on Ciancia, Williams reported that the shooter had “strong anti-government” views:
We’re told, that he had strong anti-government views. That’s based on some written material that we’re told he was carrying, that they found on him after he was shot by L.A. airport police.
On “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” Justice Correspondent Evan Perez described the literature specifically as “anti-federal government literature.”
Fox LA reports that Ciancia “wanted to kill TSA and pigs.”
According to multiple reports, Ciancia is a resident of Los Angeles who targeted TSA agents with a semi-automatic rifle. He is currently in custody.
CNN is reporting that one TSA agent is dead.
