Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang are coming to a conservative publisher to bring pro-American stories to children the world over.
Regnery Publishing announced a new, five-year deal this week introducing Charles M. Shulz’s Peanuts characters to its literary lineup. The deal will focus on, according to the publisher, “core themes including American history, American heroes, and American government.”
“Who better than Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang to help teach children about what makes America strong, and the lessons we have learned over the past 250 years?” Marji Ross, President and Publisher of Regnery Publishing, said in a statement.
The Peanuts books, aimed at children ages 4-8, will be released under Regnery Publishing’s Little Patriot Press imprint. Three new Peanuts books will hit bookstores in Fall 2014.
