TV and film star Melissa Joan Hart found that out the hard way last year when she endorsed Mitt Romney in a series of tweets before the 2012 presidential election. Her social media missives were not divisive, insulting or in any way demeaning to those who wanted to vote for Obama. That didn’t matter.
