President Barack Obama wants his MTV. Or, to be more precise, he wants the MTV demographic that’s slipping out of his reach thanks to his handling of the economy.
The network announced on Tuesday that the president will be featured in a live, 30-minute special to air on Friday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. ET. As part of MTV’s “Power of 12” election campaign, Obama will answer questions from the audience on ASK OBAMA LIVE: An MTV Interview with the President, with viewers submitting their questions and concerns via MTV’s Facebook page.
Sounds like another chance for Obama to swat at softball questions from journalists eager to revisit the glory days of 2008. Then again, Obama couldn’t even handle Jon Stewart’s line of queries last week, so who knows how this will end up.
The network has extended an invitation to GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney to join in the Rock the Vote festivities.
