Audio tapes of an out of control Mel Gibson all but derailed the actor’s professional career two years ago. Could history repeat itself in 2012?
TheWrap.com, which broke the story of Gibson’s new feud with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas of “Basic Instinct” fame regarding a joint film project, reveals the writer may have a way to prove he’s right about Gibson.
Four words: “I have a tape.”
He should be very careful calling me a liar,” Eszterhas said in an exclusive interview with TheWrap’s Sharon Waxman. “We have a recording of his actions and statements that my son Nick made in Costa Rica,” where Eszterhas, his wife, Naomi, and son spent time with Gibson in December at the actor’s villa.
