YouTube Censors Comments Critical of Obama, Allows Republican Trashing

Apparently it’s all sweetness and light, unicorns and fuzzy bunnies in the YouTube comments section of Obama’s new hagiographic, hack-u-mentary short film directed by Academy Award-winning director David “star-struck” Guggenheim. Barely a cross word is seen there about the Obammessiah since most negative comments seem likely to have been deleted from the YouTube page leaving only the most sugary, sycophantic sap behind.

Such serious, probing comments as “YES we can, YES we did, Yes we Will !!!!!!!” [sic], “This generations Kennedy! His face belongs on money someday. I’m in!,” and “the best President….EVER!!!” grace the comments section of “The Road We Traveled,” the cheesy, dear-leader-like film made to flog Obama’s now six-year-long campaign for the White House.

There are tears for Obama, joy for Obama, prayers for Obama, thanks for the many blessings he bestowed upon us from on high, grave warnings that without Obama we are lost, and, my particular favorite, the self-chastising comment that went: “Thank you, Mr President. I’m sorry that I’ve been impatient.”

Dang your impatience, man! There’s no room for impatience in fundamentally transforming the United States into a weaker, more despised version of France, after all. You’d better be ashamed of yourself and apologize, commenter jcourtn1!

There is even one comment by someone that claims he’s a Republican that will now vote for Obama because the GOP has become the party of “Dominionism, Theocracy, and Corporatism.” Better to have a president that is a destroyer of religion, creates a new dominion of big government, and indulges crony capitalism… all good Republican ideals, I’m sure.

“Now, hold on a minute, buddy,” you might say. “Maybe all the world does love Obama and his new Leni Riefenstahl-styled video really speaks to them? Maybe there aren’t any negative comments because no one posted any?”

Well, doubting leftist, I tried a little experiment. On March 15 I posted the following: “Certainly the biggest bunch of hero-worshipping nonsense I’ve yet seen. With all the problems this man has caused, we should vote for him again? Hardly.”

By March 18, it still hadn’t shown up.

But this one did: “When America looks back fifty years from now, we will realize that Barack Obama has been one of our greatest Presidents of all time. But it’s only half time. Obama 2012!” Thank you Sabu71495. You are a genius to recognize Obama’s greatness.

Perhaps the President’s lackeys that mind the YouTube page just wanted a positive comments section? You know, one with no vitriol? Well, if that were the case, maybe those comments that attack Republicans as dumb, racist, haters, as “shit,” as religious nuts, anti-women bigots and the like would have also been left off. But, naturally, they weren’t. I guess vitriol against Republicans is OK. Just not for the Obammessiah.

But wait. Maybe there is “balance” after all? Out of the nearly 1,000 comments thus far Nobleminge said, “Obama sucks. This is leftist propaganda.” And kevo126 said, “Obama is a joke.”

See. Balance.

Granted there are a few negative comments. But it seems to me that less than five percent are negative. And since this country is nearly split in half between Democrats and Republicans, how likely is it the 95% of the comments treat Obama as a god that walks the earth (one commenter calls him “simply an angel,” even)? Not very, I’d assert. And party loyalty aside, Obama has been lucky if he can get to 50% approval ratings these days. Oh, but not on this YouTube page!

One would think it would have been better to turn comments off on this page instead of allowing it to turn into the farcical fantasyland it became. But, in keeping with the Stalinesque attempt at rewriting history that this little video exemplifies, there is also the censorship of dissent.

Four more years? Of this? Can we survive that?
