Gang Members Allegedly Kidnapped VA Cop, Drove Him to Banks Before His Death

When gang members allegedly carjacked and kidnapped Waynesboro, Virginia, police officer Captain Kevin Quick earlier this year, they also allegedly drove from bank to bank while he was alive in the car, attempting to withdraw all the money they could from his bank account.

CBS 6 reported that Quick was “still alive in the vehicle being held against his will” as the suspects “drove around to various banks.” The Roanoke Times reports the gang members then allegedly shot Quick and dumped his body “in a logging area on Old Columbia Road in Goochland County.” 

Quick left his home at 10:15 p.m. on January 31 to go visit his girlfriend in Albemarle County. He told his mother he would be back at noon the next day, February 1. His mother then reported him missing at 10 p.m. on February 1. 

But reports indicate Quick was “already gone” by then. His white Toyota 4Runner had been carjacked, leading to Quick’s kidnap and murder.

The Daily Progress reported that four members of the Bloods gang set 99 Goon Syndikate were charged in Quick’s death. Among these are Daniel Lamont Mathis and two women, Shantai Monique Shelton and Mersadies Lachelle Shelton. Charges include “racketeering, two murder charges, a kidnapping charge and associated firearms charges.”

Two others, Halisi Uhuru and Anthony Stokes, have also been charged in connection with Quick’s death. Uhuru also goes by “Double Original Gangster.”

On November 15 Breitbart News reported on Quick’s alleged murderers and pointed out that Attorney General Eric Holder has taken the option of the death penalty off the table.
