On the way back to Washington D.C., President Obama told reporters that he was canceling their press briefing aboard Air Force One with Press Secretary Josh Earnest – but it appears that reporters got some cake instead.
It appears, however, that reporters got some cake in return – partaking in a “Death By Chocolate” cake that Obama picked up during his visit to Rhode Island.
Obama: “‘Can we give Josh [Earnest] the day off for Halloween’ and cancelled the gaggle on his behalf,” per pool. Then press had cake.
