In Potosi, Missouri, a teacher yelled at a high school girl for holding a Bible and discussing Christianity with a fellow classmate.
Angela English, the mother of Kiela, who was the student the teacher chastised, has created a Facebook page to stimulate a Bible protest on Thursday so religious high schoolers can stand up for their religious rights.
Though Kiela was not punished, English is firm that the teacher overstepped the proper boundaries by yelling at her daughter. “We’ve asked the children to bring the Bibles and carry it, not preach and shove religion in their face but to show they have the right to carry the Bible,” said English.
