Man Kills Home Intruder with AK-47

On January 2, a Davie, Florida resident was able to gain control of his AK-47 and open fire on home intruders while they were attacking him. One of the intruders was killed and two others are on the run.

According to NBC Miami, “three armed men entered the apartment [of an unnamed resident], and pistol-whipped the resident inside.” The resident had an AK-47 in the apartment “and after he received the beating he was able able to get possession or control of that,” at which time he started shooting and the suspects fled.

Although the resident killed one of the three suspects, the initial attack left him wounded badly enough that he had to be taken to a hospital once police arrived.
