On Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Obamacare was an “evil” law and a “train wreck” that more Americans will want to abandon once they become familiar with the over 20,000 pages of rules and regulations that infringe upon their liberties.
Palin made her comments in an appearance on Fox News’ Cashin’ In with Eric Bolling. She then went on her Facebook page and said Americans are not going to “shut up” as the federal government tries to implement Obamacare.
“We will never sit down and we will never shut up,” Palin wrote. “It isn’t in our DNA and it isn’t what our country was founded upon. The need to question government and address its flaws is incumbent on all people of conscience, and we will never stop defending true and plainspoken facts.”
Four years ago, Palin was ridiculed for claiming that Obamacare would have “death panels” and force bureaucrats in the federal government to ration healthcare. She linked to an article about the media’s initial reaction to her “death panels” remarks and then to an editorial from Investors Business Daily arguing that Palin was right about death panels in Obamacare.
Palin noted that 22 Democrats have abandoned Obamacare by signing on to a bill to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) and said those Democrats should be commended for seeing Obamacare’s flaws and trying to do something about them.
“To our steadfast supporters, let’s always keep our eye on the truth and never back down from ensuring our great country isn’t deceived by what we are told to think by the media or the powers that be,” she wrote. “When they get it wrong, they really get it wrong.”
Palin added, “There is much more to come, hold tight and keep your resolve.”
