Ashely Judd Adviser: Dems Forced Actress Out of Senate Race

Jonathan Miller, the former two-term Kentucky state treasurer who was working with Ashley Judd as she contemplated a campaign for Mitch McConnell’s Senate seat, is now complaining Judd was forced out by a cabal of Democrats.

The reasons why, Miller surmises, included getting Judd out so Kentucky’s Secretary of State, Alison Lundergan Grimes, could run against McConnell, thus benefiting those who worked with or for Grimes; taking revenge on Judd for slights the actress had caused them in the past or promoting Grimes as a Senatorial candidate to keep her out of the gubernatorial race for which they support another candidate.

Miller cites two rumors that he says were fabricated: one that quoted Judd as saying, “I have been raped twice, so I think I can handle Mitch McConnell,” which Miller denied Judd ever uttered, and a second rumor that former President Bill Clinton wanted Judd out because Grimes’s father, Jerry Lundergan, was a Clinton supporter back in the 1990s and helped him win Kentucky twice. Miller dismisses the second claim by asserting that Judd was close with the Clintons, having campaigned with Bill for Hillary in 2008, and that Judd had informed a dinner group that Miller attended that Bill Clinton had urged her to run against McConnell.

Miller can’t help himself; after writing about how it was the internecine warfare among Democrats that torpedoed Judd’s candidacy, he concludes:

All the while, I imagine McConnell sitting back, watching the antics with his sly, tight grin, enjoying how a small group of Democrats duped the so-called liberal media into creating the false narrative of a Democratic civil war. Only a master politician could get so damn lucky.

The Democrats will deny until Doomsday that they are capable of knifing their own. But that’s a lie the supine media is more than willing to parrot.
