Obama's Uncuttable Spending: $200M To Advertise US Agriculture Abroad

While President Obama prepares to tell Americans that every dollar of spending by the federal government is vital – or, more realistically, while he prepares to lie about cutting spending while actually jacking it up to record rates – Breitbart News has been looking into possible places worth cutting. Today, we’ll be rolling out a series of such cuts. We suggest cutting these items, rather than raising your taxes.

First in our series: spending on advertisement of US agricultural products abroad. As it turns out, US agriculture needs little advertisement – we are the world’s leader agricultural exports by a wide margin. But we spend some $200 million every year to push US farm products abroad, as Alison Acosta Fraser has reported at Heritage Foundation.

No doubt Obama calls this stimulus. Then again, he thinks that unemployment benefits count as stimulus. The only thing that isn’t stimulus is money spent and saved exclusively in the private sector.
