US Vice Presidential Hopefuls Clash over Libya Attack

US vice-presidential contenders Joe Biden and Paul Ryan clashed in their campaign debate Thursday over the handling of a deadly attack on the American consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi.

Vice President Biden said any mistakes made in the administration’s response to the threat would not be repeated, while his Republican challenger Ryan said the unrest showed President Barack Obama’s foreign policy was “unravelling.”
