Pro-gay marriage advocates may have found their most articulate spokesman: pro wrestling superstar C.M Punk. In a back-and-forth with followers on Twitter, Punk offered his solution to their unevolved positions on gay marriage.
It started on Monday, when Punk tweeted that he opposed North Carolina’s constitutional amendment to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. One nasty follower responded, “Man was meant for woman, and even the thought of homo’s make me sick.” Punk, eager to help, replied, “Kill yourself.” In a response to another follower who protested Punk’s pro-gay marriage stand, he had a more colorful suggestion: “drink bleach.”
And in an unprompted tweet, he called the amendment’s supporters as: “So many stupid people. Bigots. Talking about what’s ‘natural,'” followed by a Tweet boasting, “I am a star. I’m fighting bigots here. Zero tolerance.”
And one more Tweet: “The human race is embarrassing. #evolve.”
Yet another Dan Savage-style eloquent spokesperson for the same-sex marriage cause.
