Debbie Wasserman Schultz's War On Americans

Yesterday, on CNN’s State of the Union, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz cynically echoed the liberal talking points that have dominated the last several weeks of news coverage, claiming that the Republican Party is waging a war on women. “The focus of the Republican Party on turning back the clock for women really is something that’s unacceptable, and shows how callous and insensitive they are towards women’s priorities,” she said.”

The Obama administration’s policy of divide and conquer continues. They played the race card with Trayvon Martin, played the class warfare card with their support of the Occupy movement, and now play the gender card by accusing Republicans of waging a war on women.  Of course, Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC had no problem having a member of Schultz’s staff denigrate Jews, but that’s different because a) Jews are thought to be so docile by now that they won’t take umbrage, and b) Gilbert’s parents are big donors and fundraisers for Obama.

All of this dividing of Americans is done for the express purpose of achieving some greater measure of “social justice.” But it’s unclear whether Wasserman-Schultz truly cares about “social justice” in any meaningful sense. When Doug Tudor, a twenty-year Navy vet, challenged the Republican Adam Putnam in Florida, for example, he went to Wasserman-Schultz for help in seeking financial support. Tudor wrote:

When I met her in Denver, she immediately told me that she couldn’t support me, saying I hadn’t raised enough money. I told her that I had raised $100K, that I was a military retiree, that my family is living on my wife’s Air Force E6 pay, and that I wasn’t able like other “viable” candidates to drop a quarter of a million dollars into my own campaign. I then told her, “Congresswoman, I am one of those working-class guys that our party claims to represent.” Her response was “Don’t pull that populist stuff with me.”

The Democrats aren’t populists, and they’re not standing up for the little guy. They’re exploiting Americans in order to achieve their own political power. That’s a war on the American people.
