Senator Tim Kaine repeatedly interrupted Gov. Mike Pence during the vice presidential debate, prompting criticism from both viewers and political analysts.
Watch the highlight video of Kaine’s rude behavior below:
According to analysis from FiveThirtyEight, Kaine interrupted Pence more than 70 times.
Kaine appeared unwilling to let Pence criticize anything his running mate Hillary Clinton did or say anything critical of President Barack Obama, interrupting frequently during Pence’s allotted time.
Although moderator Elaine Quijano attempted to stop Kaine at a few points, he repeatedly butted in, even during Pence’s poignant citations of events surrounding 9/11 and quotes from Mother Theresa.
He also tried to goad Mike Pence into a defensive position by repeatedly raising questions about the Republican nominee Donald Trump.
